Some Great Movies on Netflix you probably haven't seen yet.
The Hunt (2013)
Once again, Mads Mikkelsen gives us an unforgettable performance in this Danish thriller. Lucas is a new teacher in a small town. He is just starting a new life after a divorce and the loss of his last job. One day, a child from the class he is teaching accuses him of an unforgivable act. The lie will spread throughout the small community and will tear Lucas' life apart. The Hunt, or "Jagten" in its original version, is one of those rare thrillers that will haunt you for days, and make you question everything in its aftermath. Extraordinary!
23 Best Movies on NetFlix that you probably haven't seen.
1. Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002)
A true story based film about three girls whose lives become a tragedy shaped by the Rabbit-proof fence, which runs along Australia splitting it to two parts. These girls, daughters of an aboriginal mother and a white father who worked on building the fence and then moved on, get taken from their mother to a so-called re-education camp. This is the story of their escape to find the fence and then their mother, a journey of 1500 miles that they can only do on foot. Tragic, yes, but this is an honest film that sends clear messages without any excessive emotional dwelling.
Mind Twisting Movies!
The Illusionist (2006)
In turn-of-the-century Vienna, a magician uses his abilities to secure the love of a woman far above his social standing. (110 mins.)

10 Abductions Caught on Camera
Hug your children a little tighter tonight.
"According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, roughly 800,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States -- that's roughly 2,000 per day. Of those, there are 115 child "stranger abduction" cases each year, which means the child was taken by an unknown person." - ABCNews
In this album, we explore the terrifying last moments of several infamous abduction cases where a security camera played a major role in capturing either the actual abduction, or scenes of the abductor and victim during the investigation.
Some of these cases are still on-going or have gone cold, others were ended without the loss of life, and sadly some of these ended tragically as well.
These scenes, mostly caught by security camera, offers insight and a further degree of reality to the black and white numbers that compile the statistics of missing persons in the United States. I suggest if you're going to research these cases further, you do so with caution.
Bryan Williamson, April 2016
Source: https://youtu.be/7nbThhs_rWE
A couple in Jacksonville, Florida is baffled by the sudden materialization of an upset 7-year old boy at their front porch after they heard a soft knock at the door, early Monday morning on April 18th, 2016. The boy was Bryan Williamson, who was abducted from his home 100 miles away in Madison, and was also the subject of an AMBER Alert and rapid search effort.
Bryan was taken when he briefly left the sight of his aunt, intending to share candy with a cousin he played with Sunday evening, April 17th. That's when he was taken by a man in a black 4-door car (seen above), who held the boy for 12 harrowing hours.
The image above, captured by a security camera, shows that miraculously the man dropped Bryan off the following morning at a seemingly random location in Jacksonville, some two hours away.
What happened to Bryan in those 12 hours he went missing? What did his abductor do? It is known that at least approximately an hour and half was spent driving. He also at one time bathed and changed clothes. The Williamson's refuse to release information regarding what all the boy endured, but if the intense manhunt to find the abductor is of any indication, it was a traumatic experience for the boy.
Unfortunately, the suspect still hasn't been found and remains at large.

Smoldering ashes pour from the night sky as a monstrous wildfire approaches a helpless community. On May 1st, 2016, a fire erupted southwest of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada; forcing the evacuation of nearly 90,000 people. Although it destroyed 1.4 million acres of land and some 2,400 homes, nobody was directly killed from it. The Fort McMurray wildfire became the costliest disaster in Canadian history, with estimates as high as $9 billion in overall damages.
10 Chilling Audio Recordings
This album is a collection of rare, fascinating, and chilling audio recordings found on YouTube, with a bit of background information added for context.
I think hearing these events unfold adds an extra degree of reality. These don't usually sound like what we're lead to believe. These recordings correlate with great tragedy, and hearing them unfold sort of brings us closer to what it would've been like to experience them first hand, which is fascinating and humbling.
Be warned. Some of these audio recordings are intense. Once you've heard them, you can't "unhear" them. I've tried to include as much information as reasonably possible to bring closure for those who rather not listen but are still interested in the story.
Upshot-Knothole Annie, Nuclear Weapons Test 1953
Source: https://youtu.be/AkKqgmp5M6c?t=2m33s
Although we've all seen the images of nuclear bomb tests, the sound is typically dubbed to match the visual of the initial explosion. This might be the only unedited recording of an actual nuclear explosion in real time. This occurred at the Nevada Test Site in 1953, as part of Operation Upshot-Knothole and part of a series of exercises to help us prepare for the threat of nuclear war.
They also staged a variety of objects to be blasted such as two 2-story houses, 50 automobiles, and 8 different types of bomb shelters at varying distances from the hypocenter to see how they would fair as shelters. Civilians were allowed to watch the test from 11 miles away and it was also nationally televised live.
Annie had a slightly stronger explosive yield than Little Boy, the bomb used in Hiroshima.

Age of Empires (1997)
Ensemble Studio's first big release in 1997 Age of Empires was the big daddy that spawned the great series backed by Microsoft. This was the first RTS I ever played back in computer class at primary school. Unfortunately this isn't available on Steam but it and its expansion "The Rise of Rome" are available cheaply on a disc, if any of you still even have a disc drive.

Fascinating 100-Year-Old Colour Portraits Of New York Immigrants
"Danish Man", 1909
FP EDIT: Send a picture of the most beautiful thing in front of you right now.
"Evolving since the 1750s, the Danish dressed simply, with more decorated attire for special occasions such as weddings or Sunday church. As with many nations before mass industrialisation, much of the clothing was homespun by Danish women or a professional weaver and were usually made from wool and flax, which were warm and relatively easy to acquire. Cuts and patterns were largely regional with a limited palette derived from vegetable dye. Men often wore several shirts underneath their jackets, and the addition of silver buttons on the jacket and other decorative details indicated an individual's wealth and origin." – Dynamichrome Augustus Francis Sherman / New York Public Library / Dynamichrome / Via digitalcollections.nypl.org

Moments in history
The Execution of Leonard Siffleet
Australian Sergeant Leonard Siffleet was part of a special forces reconnaissance unit in New Guinea, then occupied by Japanese Imperial forces. He and two Ambonese companions were captured by partisan tribesmen and handed over to the Japanese.
All three men were interrogated, tortured and confined for approximately two weeks before being taken down to Aitape Beach on the afternoon of 24 October 1943. Bound and blindfolded, surrounded by Japanese and native onlookers, they were forced to the ground and executed by beheading, on the orders of Vice-Admiral Michiaki Kamada. The officer who executed Siffleet detailed a private to photograph him in the act. The photograph of Siffleet's execution was discovered on the body of a dead Japanese soldier by American troops in April 1944.
As a part of a propaganda effort, it was published in many newspapers and in Life magazine but was thought to depict Flight Lieutenant Bill Newton, VC, who had been captured in Salamaua, Papua New Guinea, and beheaded on 29 March 1943. The photo became an enduring image of the war.
(Siffleet's executioner, Yasuno Chikao, has been variously reported as having died before the end of the war, and as having been captured and sentenced to be hanged, with his sentence subsequently commuted to 10 years imprisonment. In Europe, the mortality rate of the Allied prisoners of Germans was 1.1%, while it was 37% for the Allied prisoners of Japanese).

Interesting Places You Can't/Shouldn't Visit
1. Snake Island
Snake Island is a small island off the coast of Brazil that is so filled with venomous serpents that it's been called one of the world's deadliest islands. Scientists estimate there are about 4,000 snakes, about 1 per square meter, on this island and they are all golden lancehead pit vipers, one of the most venomous snakes in the world. The snakes became trapped on the island when rising sea levels covered up the land that connected it to the mainland. This left the snakes to adapt to their environment. The snake's venom is said to be three to five times stronger than that of any mainland snake. Oh, and it's capable of melting human flesh. The story goes that the last people to live on the island were the lighthouse keeper and his family who were killed by the snakes. Currently, the Brazilian Navy bans civilians from the island, though scientists sometimes receive waivers. Good luck to them...
